Privacy Policy
Health in Your Hands ("HIYH," "we," "us") is a student-led, all-volunteer research collaborative. We respect your privacy and collect as little personal information as possible. This policy explains what the website does and does not collect.
Information we collect
- When you contact us. The "Get involved / Contact us" form opens your own email application with the name, email address, and message you typed. That message is sent to us by email — the website itself does not store it. We receive only what you choose to send.
- Server logs. Our host, Cloudflare, processes standard technical data (such as IP address, browser type, and pages requested) to serve and secure the site. This is handled under Cloudflare's own privacy terms.
- Donations. Donations are processed by third parties (such as GiveLively); any payment or contact details you provide there are governed by their privacy policies, not this one. We never see or store your payment-card details.
- Fonts. The site loads typefaces from Google Fonts, which may receive your IP address as part of delivering them.
What we don't do
- We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information.
- We do not set advertising or tracking cookies on this site.
- We do not run third-party advertising networks.
How we use information
We use the information you send us only to respond to your inquiry, to coordinate involvement with our programs, and to keep you updated if you ask us to. We keep correspondence only as long as needed for those purposes.
Service providers
We rely on a small number of providers to operate: Cloudflare (website hosting and security), Google Fonts (typography), Google / Gmail (our email inbox), and GiveLively and similar platforms (donation processing). Each handles data under its own terms.
Children's privacy
This site is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent us information, please contact us and we will delete it.
International visitors
We are a global collaborative and may receive messages from anywhere in the world. If you contact us from outside the United States, your information will be transmitted to and handled by us and our providers, which may be located in the U.S.
Your choices
Because we collect so little, the simplest way to control your information is to choose what you send us. To ask what correspondence we hold, to correct it, or to have it deleted, email us at hiyhdiagnostics@gmail.com.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we'll revise the "Last updated" date above. Material changes will be reflected on this page.
